Wells Fargo is seeking Systems Architect Senior Managers to support Marketing, CRM, and Customer Journey architecture as a part of Enterprise Architecture within the Chief Technology Office (CTO).


There are Systems Architect Senior Manager positions in areas such as Marketing and CRM architecture as well as Customer Journey/Experience architecture to manage Marketing and CRM architects and Customer Journey/Experience architects. These Systems Architect Senior Managers will be a part of the Architecture, Strategy, and Consulting (ASC) team within Wells Fargo Enterprise Architecture. Marketing and CRM Systems Architect Senior Manager

This Systems Architect Senior   Manager will  partner closely with Marketing Technology executives within Consumer Data and Engagement Platforms (CDEP) and various Lines of Business and Technology and Product Marketing and Customer Relationship Management(CRM)  teams. This role will be responsible for managing Marketing and CRM architects and with that help provide architecture direction.  Through partnership with product and engineering delivery teams, this role with help to develop architecture strategy and direction for enterprise Marketing and CRM platforms by identifying architecture modernization and rationalization opportunities. This includes accountability for analyzing marketing business strategy and current state architecture; developing Enterprise Marketing reference architecture and a roadmap for transitioning from current state architecture to target state architecture; and ensuring Marketing Architecture Strategy aligns with the Marketing line of business strategy and Wells Fargo Technology strategy.   This role will be a key leader to move forward that architecture practice and develop strong partnerships with both product and engineering teams to help ensure a seamless and positive customer experience across all key customer channels in relationship to Marketing and CRM.   

Customer Journey Systems Architect Senior Manager

This Systems Architect Senior   Manager will partner closely with different business and technology partners across products and channels to ensure solutions architected with the customer experience and end to end customer journey in mind.  This manager will manage customer journey architects focused on a customer’s journey and experiences across Wells Fargo channels and products with experiences in several different areas such as becoming a customer, managing the relationship of an existing customer, performing financial transactions/services, and many other areas.  The customer journey architects handle the end-to-end architecture and partner with supporting platform architects. Through the partnerships across product lines, channels, and supporting technology areas, this manager and their team will develop business and technical architecture strategy for end-to-end customer journey experiences and identify opportunity areas for modernization and rationalization and new technologies to help move forward the customer journey and experience. This manager will have accountability to create/maintain current state and recommend interim and target state   along with roadmap and recommendations to help move forward and align with the overall business and technology strategy. This role will help to develop the customer journey architecture practice and develop strong partnerships to help move forward an architecture that enables a seamless and positive customer experience across all key customer channels.  


In this role, you will:

  • Manage a team of architects in Marketing / Sales technologies, CRM, and/or Customer Journey/Experience architecture.

  • Lead a team that develops and maintains business system and corporate architectures

  • Lead in component architecture and participate in enterprise architecture activity

  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

  • Support the unit's commitment to customers' satisfaction through fast and courteous service and correspondence

  • Identify compliance and risk management requirements and provide regulatory support for supported areas as it applies to architecture

  • Provide customer service by solving operational issues

  • Provide customer service to Marketing, CRM, and cross LOB product and engineering teams by helping to provide architecture support and set architecture direction

  • Work under minimal supervision

  • Provide back-up for others and may provide training or work direction to less experienced staff

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Architecture & Engineering


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Technology Architecture & Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years of Management experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience managing architecture teams and/or technology understanding and background in one or more of the following technology areas: Marketing (MarTech) technologies, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Sales technologies, customer driven architecture, and/or customer journey/experience technologies.

  • Experience designing architecture and implementing technology solutions for marketing/sales, customer journey/experience, strategic customer data or similar business domains

  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience and presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels

  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams in a change driven environment

  • Ability to manage initiatives related to the following: architecture roadmap that aligns with business strategy and the broader architecture community; capacity planning, consolidation and rationalization; related emerging technology assessment and incubation

  • Experience designing, integrating and managing complex portfolio of platform-based architectures that include cloud-based applications, utilizing APIs and microservices to build target and transitional architectures, blueprints, roadmaps.

  • Planning, directing and championing the product architecture practice centered on a technology & business capability model with outcomes of enterprise reuse, investment toward enterprise grade platforms and modernized architecture

  • Lead customers / business and technology stakeholders to design end-to-end architectural specifications from an enterprise architecture perspective across data, security, application, business and enterprise platforms.

  • Agile experience

Job Expectations:

  •  Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

Pay Range

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00 Annual
