About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Java Engineer in the Digital Technology and Innovation group which supports evolving digital platforms and enhances integration of the innovation pipeline into our customer-facing capabilities.
The Senior Java Engineer will join our Digital Messaging Team. This position is part of Digital Channels Technology (DCT) group that manages Wells Fargo Retail Online Banking serving 40+ million customers 24/7/365 days. Our goal is to support our company’s Visions and Values by delivering, maintaining and supporting high quality software solutions.
In this role, you will:
- This developer will be part of the Digital Alerts Agile team team working to solve challenging technical problems, geared towards providing new delightful banking features to our customers.
- He/She will develop and launch scalable and secure microservices using Java, J2EE, JUNIT, Spring, and RESTful Services.
- The Developer will participate in the growth of a highly available, fast and resilient framework, that can cater 50+ million daily customers transactions.

- He/She will contribute ideas to improve processes, practices, and pilot initiatives

- The development tasks associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:
• Collaborate with other technology teams and architects to define and develop scalable design solutions.
• Implement resilient and secure code solutions to enhance customer journey experiences and digital capabilities to automate, optimize and fast track banking processes.
• Contribute to ensure 99.99% uptime of web applications to ensure uninterrupted digital banking service availability.
• Deliver secure software solutions following Agile delivery model.
Required Qualifications, US:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of web development experience; including designing and developing web applications
- 4+ years of JavaEE experience
- 4+ years of JAVA experience
- 4+ years of JAVA web services experience
- 4+ years of SQL experience
- 2+ years of MQ Series Messaging experience
- 3+ years of experience working with email technologies including email, mobile messaging and mail encryption
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Agile experience
- 3+ years of microservices development experience
- 3+ years of implementing test automation using Selenium, web services or SQL
- 2+ years of experience with Apache Kafka or Con2fluent Enterprise
- 1+ year of MongoDB experience
- Knowledge and understanding of technology performance requirements and highly scalable solutions
- Strong knowledge of technology with emphasis on the following: Development Operations, SDLC (including quality assurance, problem and incident management, configuration management, application infrastructure services (e.g. middleware), platform management, information security architecture, IAM (identity and access management), enterprise architecture, cloud, third party hosted solutions, application risk assessments, information management, enterprise data, CRM services, and books and records)
