About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst.


In this role, you will:

  • Work as part of Corporate Function BDL team to support domain teams with the execution work efforts that deliver required use data dictionaries and data quality assessments in support of Enterprise Data Governance Policy and Privacy Policy compliance requirements.  
  • Ability to analyze and understand different reports and work on Complex queries, Spreadsheets, ETL Graphs being used for various reporting and understand the data coming through for these reports and breakdown into elements and create lineage.
  • Articulate findings and highlight the details to document the Data Governance artifacts.
  • Develop recommendations for optimal approach for strategizing input from right sources for the reports leveraging domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to inform and support solution design.
  • Provide guidance on identification of core data elements including System of Record (SOR) designation and assignment of business criticality.
  • Take part in different activities to understand the data governance policies and procedures and make sure to implement and adhere to the underlying process.
  • Adhere to the Risk compliance standards and identify and highlight possible risks in the process.
  • Work with application and technology managers to complete their assigned application artifacts for the assigned Applications/Use Initiatives.
  • As the Data Subject Matter Expert this resource will assist the DMI Application Business with consultation on the Data Applications that the Corporate Services Group within DMI supports.
  • Managing adherence to, and reporting status of process implementation milestones, escalating roadblocks as necessary
  • Participate in and author communications and training around processes, to ensure and reinforce stakeholder understanding.


Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business or related discipline.
  • Proficient in Requirements gathering and working with multiple data owners.
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology and Data Management
  • 7+ years of experience with Metadata/Data dictionaries management including technical/business content and data lineage.
  • 4+ years of Experience in understanding of Reporting from Power BI/Tableau or Excel Spreadsheet to analyze and breakdown core elements.
  • 5+ years of experience performing data profiling.
  • 5+ years of client relationship management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL skills- queries, joins, data modelling, relational concepts.
  • Experience working with technology teams, with a focus on metadata, data quality monitoring, domain management.
  • Quick learner with excellent communication skills, team orientation, and ability to work with counterparts in different areas of organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement initiatives in line with program roadmap objectives.
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical subject matter experts on system implementations.
  • Ability to interact with Teams and handle assigned work with less support.
  • Experience working on reports, SharePoint, Tableau and JIRA.
  • Strong communication written and oral and is not shy to speak out.
  • Presentation skills (PPTs or flow charts and Documentation)
  • Hands on person and eager to learn new process and areas.

  • May act as a relationship manager for a line of business.
  • May design and deliver database architecture / design services, providing sizing and configuration.
  • assistance, performing needs assessments, database definition & structure, documentation, long-range requirements, and operational guidelines.
