About this role:

  • Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Data Management Analyst. eIDF (Enterprise Instrument Data Foundation) is a data platform with integrated multi-domain data at the instrument level tied to general ledger with governance, data quality, change management and enrichment capabilities. It covers 95% of the enterprise balance sheet as well as many non-financial indicative attributes with a monthly production cycle. eIDF is a subdomain to the EDA (Enterprise Data Assets) program within Data Management & Insights and is one of four target state enabling products needed to implement the enterprise data strategy. 

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs.
  • Design and conduct complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps.
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas of the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking.
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality, influence tooling direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions.
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy.
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies!
  • Partner with groups companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution.
  • Role will require ownership of controls and processes.  Will be provided delegated authority to lead and help with other control and process owners.
  • Managing team in a matrixed environment.
  • Complete ownership of support process with proper reporting & review mechanisms in place.
  • Liaison with senior management & stakeholders ensuring support process deliverables are in line with business strategy/organization vision & goals.
  • Mentoring team for better collaboration with partners in Tech/Business initiatives
  • Defining Business KPIs, getting them agreed with Tech/Business partners and ensuring adherence to them.
  • Developing strategies to prioritize and remediate risk & issues that align with business needs and/or regulatory compliance requirements.
  • For the governed support process, apply and perform Problem Management, Service Management, Escalation Management, Stakeholder Management and look after Continuous Improvement in process.
  • Take ownership and drive Knowledge Management activities.
  • Ensuring that defined business continuity procedures (BCP) for work are tested and operationalized.
  • Lead and manage related Audits and Control processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Data governance and Data Quality.
  • 4+ years of Data Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4 Years SQL experience
  • Experience working with various Data Platforms to include Consumer, Commercial, Securities & Derivatives, Deposits, Party and Reference Data
  • Experience working within a complex cross domain programs/project Leverage complex Tableau, Power BI and other reporting / dashboard technologies to deliver concise analytic results to management.
  • Experience with data quality, using data dictionaries, lineage, data mapping and other tools in support of complex data defect research, triage, and monitoring.

Value Add Qualifications

  • Experience/familiarity in BCBS 239 principles for data governance.
