About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems operations engineer.

In this role, you will:

  • Experience in Systems Engineering, and Technology Architecture, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Strong Analytical capability to do independent ticket analysis and resolution.
  • Good Understanding of Infrastructure Service Management Processes (Incident/Change/Problem Management) with hands on experience with Service-now.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to follow the process.
  • Assess and recommend solutions for permanent fixes to improve application stability and resiliency.
  • Ability to do the Root Cause analysis, recap the issues and problem in email and communicate to all stakeholders and cross commit teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing complex reports & dashboards to be viewed by leadership team.
  • Attention to detail & ability to make quick and accurate decisions, including timely identification & appropriate escalation of critical issues.
  • Must be a good team player and ability to lead the team through technical challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Mainframe based applications platform support experience. Development experience preferred.
  • At least 10 + years of production support work related to JCL, COBOL, VSAM, NDM, DB2 system components on Mainframe.
  • Strong understanding of VSAM based Data-storage in Disk and Tape’s. KSDS/ESDS/RRDS files deep understanding required.  
  • Strong understanding of Endevor – Version control tool and CA-7 – Scheduling tool for Mainframe jobs.
  • Worked / Knowledge of distributed technologies preferred.
  • Worked in Mainframe Automations initiatives with tools like REXX and various Alerts monitoring tools.
  • Basic Exposure to Content management and Archival/Retrieval system.
  • Basic exposure to Opentext extream Dialogue, Stream weaver tools will be an added advantage.
  • ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
  • Kanban Agile experience will be added advantage.
  • SRE experienced preferred
