About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer.


In this role, you will:

  • Peroform risk assessments (Applications, Infra & ITGC)
  • Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging Technology risks with broad impact
  • Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Technology Control Management functional area
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
  • Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
  • Lead Control Management project or virtual teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of Technology Risk Management and Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Engineering or similar discipline, CRISC, CISA, CISSP preferred


Job Expectations:

  • Design meaningful metrics and monitoring of key risks and controls, and develop reporting for operations, control and business leaders, and Enterprise Risk Programs such as Risk Control Self- Assessment (RCSA) or Risk Appetite.

    • Keep senior leaders in Operations, COO, Consumer Technology Control, and other key stakeholders abreast of operational support risks, operational process and control health, and similar infr stru ture and capacity concerns affecting Consumer Technology.

    • Continuously engage in discussions with the Consumer Technology CIO Functions, Business partners and Operations su porting Consumer Technology on opportunities to improve end-to end processes and controls, new product or services strategies, new/modified markets, systems, products and services, to dete mine impact, identify, and remediate operational risk issues across

    Consumer Technology.

    • Provide reporting, written and verbal updates to risk oversight councils, Consumer Technology and Enterprise risk committees as issues/incidents arise that require escalation.

    • Report risk assessment findings through corporate risk reporting channels and develop business cases to influence control owners and business sponsors on the need for additional or improved controls to mitigate risk as applicable.

  • Establish regular routines with corporate risk, testing & validation and audit partners to provide transparency into business risk profiles and trend.

    • Collaborate with the line of business to help manage Audit, IRM and Regulator engagements, reviewing submissions

    where necessary.

    • Lead or assist in regulatory risk related projects as needed.

    • Analyze results of self-assurance, Testing & Validation, Issues Management, Audits and Regulatory Exams to identify control improvement opportunities within a country/region. @RWF22.
