About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant -Enterprise Business Resiliency.


In this role, you will:

  • Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors.
  • Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements.
  • Lead or participate on large cross group projects.
  • Mentor less experienced staff
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area.
  • The Senior Analytics Consultant will be a senior resource, responsible for designing, developing and delivering high performing reporting solutions and data analysis.
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations.
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group.
  • Follow all quality assurance processes, including periodic reviews and transitions and ensures the end product fulfills the project objectives.
  • Engage with US partners directly for development and implementation of all solutions and products.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to contribute in areas beyond project deliverables like exploratory data analysis, best practices, reusability and automation.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to deliver value above and beyond the prescribed book of work.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • Timings will require at least half day overlap with USA, a regular workday will be from 2.30 pm IST – 11.30pm IST, subject to earlier or later hours at times as business requires.
  • Candidate must be based out of posted location (Hyderabad/Bangalore) and will be required to work in the office as per organization’s In Office Adherence / Return To Office (RTO) at a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • This role may require you to work ~5 weekends a year.


Job Expectations:

  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling (Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, Ateryx)
  • Exposure & basic knowledge of Data Science, AI good to have.
  • Data Visualization:

Power BI: Proficiency in creating reports, dashboards, and data models.

Tableau: Strong skills in designing interactive and visually appealing dashboards.

Other Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Thoughtspot.

               2. Data Analysis and Statistics:

Statistical Analysis: Understanding of statistical methods and their applications.

Excel: Advanced skills in data manipulation, pivot tables, and charting.

               3. Database Management:

SQL: Proficiency in querying and managing databases.

Database Systems: Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL)

               4. Data Modeling:

Dimensional Modeling: Expertise in creating star and snowflake schemas.

ETL Processes: Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS) for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

               6. Big Data Technologies:

Understanding of big data frameworks and tools.

Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Analytical Skills

Business Intelligence:

KPI Development: Ability to identify and develop key performance indicators.

Dashboard Design: Expertise in designing user-friendly and insightful dashboards.

Data Interpretation:

Insight Generation: Ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.

Storytelling: Skills in translating complex data findings into a compelling narrative.

  • Soft Skills

Communication:

Presentation Skills: Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and confidently.

Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing expectations and communicating with stakeholders at various levels.

Problem-Solving:

Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Detail Orientation: Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.

Project Management:

Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile project management and tools (e.g., Jira).

Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

Team Leadership:

Mentorship: Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.

Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.

Certifications and Education

Relevant Degrees:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.

Professional Certifications:

Power BI Certification: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.

Other Certifications: Relevant certifications like Tableau Desktop Specialist, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP).

  • About role: Team member will be responsible for analyzing the data from the system of records and build dashboards to provide meaningful insights. Team member would be leveraging SQL to extract the data from the system of record and would be leveraging PowerBI/Tableau for building the dashboards.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Power BI Certification (good to have)
  • Relevant Exp: Tableau (Good to have)

The Role will be required to work closely with the US teams as well as teams in India and Philippines .
