Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer.

In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
- Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Evaluate moderately complex business problems and provide technical assistance in identifying automated systems and related procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements
- Review and evaluate moderately complex technical business problems that can be resolved through internet or intranet based solutions
- Present recommendations for resolving business problems
- Exercise some independent judgment when developing project budgets, project plans, and schedules.
- Provide information about communication between business and technology teams
- Work with business user groups to provide training, handle questions, observe user needs, and document results
Job Expectation:
- Is responsible to manage Patching, Test Patches & Upgrades activities for multiple products in multiple LOB
- Works closely with the Middleware/Database competency center and OSG to ensure all systems are patched and doesn’t age to be called as backlog/past dues
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in recommending process drifts, understanding current standards and applying best approaches to strategically manage the patching/vulnerability function.
- Effectively collaborate with the Planners, application groups and application owners to schedule and coordinate Urgent and emergency patch events
- Work with MW CC and OSC to triage, assess and determine strategic approach for enterprise backlogs – patching, EOL, or others.
- Compile daily, weekly, monthly and annual vulnerability metrics associated with affected and non-compliant assets
- Analyze known issues with vendor provided fixes and contact the appropriate vendor/competency team for a defined and attainable solution
- Evaluation, investigation and resolution of security risk and incidents. Assist with vulnerability exceptions.
- Work proactively with IT Infrastructure partners with respect to strategic and tactical plans for Vulnerability Patches
- Evaluate and Investigate the vulnerability scans and validate if vulnerabilities are false positives based on the Operating system and/or and application configuration.
- Communicates with Subject Matter Experts to determine expected impact
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 2+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Additional Required Qualifications:
- 2 - 4 years of data analysis and leadership reporting
- 3+ years of experience with industry leading business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI & Jira
- 3+ years of experience on MS Suite
- 1+ years of experience with a defined project methodology, including the ability to create and maintain project plans, track issues and risks, coordinate and facilitate stakeholder meetings, and experience with escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
- 1+ year(s) of process flow engineering, with an ability to translate requirements into effective process flow diagrams.
- Ability to manage multiple project and process implementations simultaneously.
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong judgment, and ability to work effectively with the client, IT management and staff, and other groups in Information Technology, including vendor resources
- Candidate Must possess strong escalation skills to manage escalations with Leadership team includes CIO’s and CTO’s
- Have good understanding on Jira tool
