About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Specialist within the Enterprise Functions Control Management Team Strategy, Planning & Governance Team.


In this role, you will:
Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations
Support complex initiatives with broad impact which are designed to mitigate current and emerging business issues and concerns; act as key participant in large-scale, cross-functional planning for Enterprise Functions.
Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of Control Organization operations; facilitate decision-making and problem resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; influence and lead key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
Demonstrate negotiation skills, especially with difficult topics when partnering with senior management.
Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer experience.
Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and deliver results quickly.
Demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality output from self and team.
Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid to senior-level managers to identify current and emerging opportunities associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing business strategy.
Collaborate and consult with team leaders in developing project plans and procedures.
Balance strong, innovative problem-solving skills with the practical ability to implement workable solutions to problems in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.


Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:
Relevant experience in business strategy, business management, Finance, transformation & advisory
Very strong written communicator, with excellent planning and/or program management skills, ability to create presentations for senior exec levels on initiatives, Programs, and business reviews.
Bachelors, M.A./M.Sc. College Degree or Higher in engineering, accounting, finance, economics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences.
Very strong verbal and written communication skills


Job Expectations:
Microsoft Office skills, SharePoint administration, Power Apps development.
Working knowledge and experience on Power BI, Tableau.
Experience of defining and building operational metrics to monitor and track performance and Risk.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to prepare and present management level presentations.
Shape solution designs which meet business needs as well as aligning to the broader strategic objectives.
Strong analytical skills with business analysis experience or equivalent are required.
Ability to run basic analysis on Reporting - Dashboard and Scorecard, MBR, business analysis.
Build presentations and represent in stakeholder’s forum.
Knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Review and identify areas of improvement leading to operational efficiency, process optimization, and field acceleration working with various teams within the organization (business, control mgmt., IT, leadership, etc.)
Oversee the strategy, priorities, and business management.
Drive strategic planning, priorities and OKRs.
Participate in organization-wide, strategic, and tactical initiatives.
Proactively manage day to day business office responsibilities like driving adherence to Risk & Compliance mandates, regular cadence on team build out & hiring updates etc.
Working experience in Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
