You will be joining an exciting, fast-paced team working on cutting edge Cryptographic related technologies. This position reports to the head of the Crypto Infrastructure Management Engineering and Data Management Team.
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for infrastructure design, engineering, automation, and day to day management of Crypto infrastructure. This infrastructure consists of Windows and Linux servers, software based appliances, and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) leveraged to provide Cryptographic capabilities companywide at Wells Fargo
Have a primary focus on the team’s Linux server and database infrastructure
Interface with management, other engineers, architects, partners companywide, and technology vendors
Work with vendors to understand the technology vendor's roadmap, help to influence that roadmap, and ensure requests for technology/product enhancements are meeting the needs of Wells Fargo
Perform hands-on engineering work, application setup and configuration, day-to-day infrastructure and operations management, troubleshooting of issues, and provide escalation support for issues from our 1st and 2nd level support teams
Be required to occasionally work on-site at Wells Fargo data centers
Participate in off hours, on-call support, on a rotational basis, along with several other engineers
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of information technology applications and systems experience
4+ years of Unix/Linux Systems Administration experience with in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting, OS hardening and OS tuning experience
2+ years of databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata experience
2+ years of encryption technologies experience
Desired Qualifications:
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
4+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell, VBScript, or JavaScript
Knowledge and understanding of cryptography and key management
Experience with engineering support in one or combination of the following: Voltage SecureData, Gemalto, SafeNet, Oracle MSSQL TDE, Thales Vormetric, nCipher nShield and other devices
Advanced scripting skills specifically around automation, log rotation, data collection, error collection and alerting
Knowledge and understanding of technology support: encryption infrastructure servers or appliances
Knowledge and understanding of implementing infrastructure upgrades, security patches, or version upgrades
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
1+ year experience with Puppet/Chef/Ansible or another automation tool
Ability to design or develop automated solutions to business problems
Digital certificate management experience
Knowledge and understanding of technology server: file encryption technology, encryption key management and information security policies
Knowledge and understanding of Splunk
Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

New York City - Pay Range: $100,800 - $179,200
