About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a business analyst.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in moderately complex data product initiatives and deliverables and contribute to large-scale planning related to driving data enablement and capabilities across multiple platforms and utilities.
- Independently resolve moderately complex data product issues and lead team to meet data product deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data, analytics, and integration needs of line of business partners that impact prioritization, roadmap, and architecture design
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance and design analytics applications across multiple platforms, resolve data product issues, and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor for lower-level staff.
- Collaborate with product owners, program, or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness.
- User Stories and Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and document detailed user stories and requirements.
- Ensure that user stories are clear, concise, and well-defined to facilitate effective development and testing.
- Gather and analyze data for potential business expansion.
- Identify specific business opportunities and ways to capitalize on them and influence stakeholders to support business projects.
- Assist with project management for selected projects.
- Coordinate with different departmental teams to improve productivity.
- Test business processes and recommend improvements.
- Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories.
- Write clear and well-structured business requirements and documentation.
- Identify automation opportunities and create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to help others understand business performance.
- Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements. Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and perform data discovery, analysis, and modeling.
Required Qualification:
- 3+ years of data product or data management experience preferably in a banking domain, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education having an engineering or BS degree.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in large enterprise data initiatives.
- Domain and technology experience
- Basic experience using standard BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc.)
- Must have knowledge on T-SQL, database, data warehousing, joins, data analysis, Indexing.
- ETL concepts, data integration, transformation, data load techniques would be an added advantage.
- Able to take up basic BI concepts/solutions, analytical dashboards for different type of reporting.
- Agile principles, Agile ceremonies, Software Development Lifecycle, JIRA, Scrum/Kanban.
Good to Have Qualifications:
Product Owner or Scrum certification: CSPO or CSM
