CSBB Access Governance Business Execution Consultant- Data Analytics & Reporting

About the Role

The incumbent will a key part of the CSBB Access Management & Governance core team which is expected to establish a consistent approach for access provisioning and governance, including regular certification & reporting for CSBB owned applications. This is a new function being established as part of CSBB CAO. In this role the incumbent will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing data strategy, including analytics and reporting. The incumbent will perform a combination or all the following.

  • Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations.
  • Conduct extensive data analysis, mapping and transforming data for actionable insights & reporting.
  • Use database tools and skills to manage large data sets.  Leverage experience and dexterity with SQL, Alteryx, data visualization tools and ability to tell a story with data.
  • Establish strong Data governance & Data quality practices.
  • Participate in complex programs and initiatives for Access Governance and enable implementation of Access Framework for CSBB
  • data quality, governance, and metadata activities.
  • Design and conduct moderately complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality, data integrity, process, and control gaps.
  • Analyze, assess, and test data controls and data systems to ensure quality and risk compliance standards are met and adhere to data governance standards and procedures.
  • Identify data metrics and curate data analysis and reporting routines to support the Access Governance.
  • Develop recommendations for optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources leveraging domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to inform and support solution design.
  • Drive planning and coordination on data remediation efforts acting as central point of contact.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders to assess the current state of data and metadata quality within area and lead/ assist efforts to establish sustainable data & reporting practices.
  • Provide input into communication routines with stakeholders, business partners, and senior leaders.
  • Risk Management.
    • Stay vigilant and aware of Access Management issues to be able to actively contribute and develop data insights and routines to support CSBB Access Governance framework.
    • Stay updated with Industry standards, security best practices, and regulatory changes to mitigate potential risks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Experience, Qualifications, Skills, and Other Attributes

  • Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Data Project Management experience
  • Experience with extensive data analysis/ review and mapping /transforming data for governance routines and reporting.
  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations.
  • Strong SQL, Alteryx and data visualization experience and ability to tell a story with data.
  • Strong Data governance & Data quality experience.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and create actionable data insights is critical. Experience of data management, analytics and data visualization will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team and engage across organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
  • Robust understanding of Information Security risk, best practices and regulatory expectation from banks & financial institutions will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment.
  • Ability to engage with global teams and drive execution of global process seamlessly and comfortably is critical to success in the role.
  • Ability to present and discuss information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with ability to educate and advise.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate information clearly.
