About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Associate within its Client Account Maintenance team as part of Corporate and Investment Banking Operations. This team is responsible for a wide variety of activities regarding customer reference data and systematic setup within customer data systems as well as downstream trading applications. The Associate will provide stewardship of client data between front end sales desks and operational support partners while focusing on building strong customer relationships. You will also be accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs, which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide operational and customer support for lifecycle tasks for institutional trades

  • Assist in gathering data to support resolution of issues

  • Receive direction from manager and exercise judgment within defined parameters of the area while developing understanding of various functions, policies and procedures

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Partner with operations teams assisting with issue resolution and account related queries

  • Identify and close risk related gaps within the account opening and maintenance process

  • Identify opportunities to streamline key functions providing additional efficiency to the team and clients

  • Partner with the sales and front office teams through effective communication

  • Take part in key audits or other query related activities assigned to the team

  • Trouble-shoot system related operational issues

  • Identify production and workflow improvement


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Capital Markets or similar experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of risk as it relates to the Corporate and Investment Banking line of business (Operational, Counterparty, Market, etc.)

  • Understanding of client data operations and customer data systems across Wells Fargo Securities

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment 

  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills 

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
