Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

Wells Fargo Capital Finance (WFCF) is one of the top lead arrangers of asset-based loans in the U.S. with a large and diversified portfolio of close to 2,400 customers and more than $33 billion in loans outstanding. WFCF offers traditional asset-based financing, specialized senior secured financing, accounts receivable financing, purchase order financing, and supply chain financing to a wide range of companies throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The Field Examiner independently conducts complex single and multiple division field exams on current and potential borrowers' financial records. May conduct more complex single and multiple division field exams on prospective borrowers. Ensures that financial records represent sound accounting procedures. Uses sound knowledge of company policies and procedures to effectively communicate to applicable Bank team members and participates in the implementation of collateral control procedures. Provides training and guidance to more junior staff.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Salary is determined by location of job.
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule:

Area 000: $67,000 $93,000 $119,000
Area 001: $61,400 $85,300 $109,200
Area 002: $55,800 $77,500 $99,200 
Area 003: $50,300 $69,800 $89,300 

May be considered for a discretionary bonus.



Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial lending experience demonstrated through work or military experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of accounting
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of asset based lending principles
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze financial metrics
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills



Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
