Job Description

Manages team of Real Estate Industry Specialist with more complex Real Estate portfolios. Promotes the growth of the team's portfolio by implementing marketing and business plans, reviews the quality of the Team's business, and ensures the loan portfolio remains sound. Reviews credit limits of Industry Specialist and ensures all credit decisions are in compliance with policies and standards. Exercises the usual authority of a manager in the hiring, training, motivating and developing team members. Typically manages 4+ Relationship Managers, annual customer revenue of +/- $4 M. This position has customer contact and job duties which may include needs assessing and referring those customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This position includes assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction.  Ability to help train and develop team member skills and talents.  Networking and proven abilities to develop new customer contacts as well as develop relationships with future potential team members.  Institutional knowledge of the other Wells Fargo business lines with a focus on commercial real estate and an ability to help identify the right location for prospective customers.

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.



Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of business banking experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Commercial credit or business credit underwriting experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of underwriting: complex real estate transactions
  • Knowledge and understanding of underwriting: commercial real estate property types
  • 8+ years of commercial real estate experience
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
