The Regulatory and Basel Reporting (RBR) Governance & Oversight Group serves as the first line of defense supporting Wells Fargo & Company’s maintenance over its regulatory reporting processes, ensuring that RBR is compliant with applicable enterprise-wide policies, procedures and regulatory mandates. Other key activities include execution of department-wide change management program, oversight of comprehensive training program, facilitation of department interactions with first, second, and third line risk management and testing functions, and other ad-hoc projects and initiatives supporting RBR’s objectives.

About this role:

  • Ensure and support Regulatory and Basel Reporting (RBR) department compliance with applicable enterprise-wide policy and procedures including, but not limited to: Regulatory Reporting Governance & Oversight, COSO, EUCT, Issue Management, Risk Control Self-Assessment, Data Management, Records Retention, Business Continuity Planning, and Third Party Risk
  • Ensure and support Report Owner compliance with requirements under the Company’s Regulatory Reporting Governance & Oversight Policy including desktop procedures, work papers, and EUCT controls for the assigned regulatory reports; provide guidance, credible challenge, and support to the department in completion of all required deliverables
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements for reports filed by the Regulatory and Basel Reporting department and support compliance with the latest regulatory, Security and Exchange Commission and/or other external financial reporting requirements
  • Support reporting activities with a thorough understanding of reporting requirements, end to end reporting processes, and data needed to deliver accurate and complete financial reporting
  • Perform analysis of issues and errors identified impacting Regulatory and Basel reports including root cause analysis, remediation planning, and credible challenge of issue and corrective action due dates
  • Assist in managing change through execution of the Financial Reporting Change Management Program (FRCMP), which is responsible for identification, communication, and monitoring of changes impacting reporting teams from various internal and external sources including regulators, third party vendors, data providers, and technology
  • Support implementation of moderate to complex projects and key risk initiatives through consultation, credible challenge, and thought leadership

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Promote and facilitate stakeholder development by maintaining ongoing interactions that increase awareness, understanding, accountability, and engagement in the reporting

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Strong professional verbal and written communications skill with ability to develop and deliver presentation materials and lead large meetings
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • 4+ years of risk management experience in financial or regulatory reporting
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Big four public accounting or other large professional services firm experience
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory agencies including Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC
