Market Job Description

This is a business enablement role within the WFBI COO (Chief Operating Office) organization, in the Strategy and Business Enablement Division with a primary focus on completion of objectives aligning with Wells Fargo EMEA’s Regional strategy and the evolution of the WF International legal entity structure.
The role will partner closely with Enterprise, Regional and WFBI stakeholders and functions, in the seamless execution of business enablement and strategy related objectives.


  • Support the Implementation Director and work with the Strategy and Business Enablement Team within WFBI COO division in driving the execution and implementation of WFBI strategy and Business Enablement objectives including contribution to related projects, aligning with the requirements of a locally incorporated bank, WFC Group, International and Regional strategic plans
  • Key contributor to work stream associated with regulatory licensing opportunities and active participant in all project related work streams
  • Partner with Lines Of Business and functions to build business cases which underpin our regional strategy
  • Provide challenge during the strategy development phase to ensure strategy is credible, relevant and robust, adhering to the principles and requirements of good governance
  • Contribute to the formulation of strategic proposals and execution plans for presentation to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor, track and report on the practical implementation of strategic and business enablement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of effective communication plans that addresses key internal as well as external stakeholders.
  • Identify and call out emerging risks and potential roadblocks to successful implementation
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with all WFBI and Regional cross-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrate WFC’s Behavioural Expectations in every day duties
  • Participate in an environment of ownership, accountability and teamwork

Market Skills and Certifications

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Good understanding of risk and operating frameworks and strong commercial acumen
  • Clear understanding of banking and capital markets business and their funding, capital model, risks and processing requirements
  • Demonstrated strong ability to work as part of a Team
  • Capability to build relationships, either directly or indirectly by employing well-honed influencing skills across key support and LOB teams within a matrixed structure
  • Creative and open minded thinker who can apply new insights to drive innovative solutions to problems and create inclusive environment for cross-functional teams to be efficient and effective
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicting priorities or requests
  • Proven ability to use initiative and operate autonomously whilst knowing when to escalate if required
  • Proven experience of stakeholder management and forging strong, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure critical deadlines are met
  • Prior experience of interacting with the regulator would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and recommendations in a clear and compelling way and adapt communication style to suit audience
  • Strong ability in creating and refining executive reporting templates and quality content
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity
