About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Physical Collateral Examination Specialist...

In this role, you will:

  • On a daily basis accurately input audits completed by the audit outsource company by following the FSG guide to ensure that DF remain secure and understand the status of financed collateral when the audit was completed
  • Have a full understanding of the FSG guide and related collateral codes
  • Raise dealer alerts where red flag exceptions have been identified at audit
  • Ensure that all new secondary locations identified are appropriately escalated
  • Enter OEM information received to support floor checks into the system of record
  • Complete internal reporting requirements
  • Follow the Complaints process to ensure that the customer is treated fairly
  • Promptly complete all WF Learning tasks to ensure practice and compliance are current.

In addition:

  • Complete assigned tasks and attend meetings as required
  • Focus on providing good external and internal customer service
  • Help to drive & implement system & process improvements/simplification
  • Support cross functional training and best practice within the Portfolio team
  • Provide team cover in the absence of Team Members

Ensure effective risk controls are in place by:

  • Escalating issues promptly to line management
  • Following Policy/Procedure/SOPs/Desk Top Manuals to ensure company practice and standards are maintained
  • Identifying/reporting and helping to resolve any Operational Risk issues

Desired background, skills and experience;:

  • A background in audit, administration, customer service & treating the customer fairly
  • Be able to work independently managing own workload and operating as part of a wider team member with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail, problem solving attitude and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate & work effectively with internal and external customers and service providers – a strong team player
  • Proactive in identifying improvement & efficiency opportunities cross functionally
  • Able to display a positive attitude and flexible approach to assigned tasks with a desire to develop skills 
  • Strong Risk focus, ability to work under time pressure & working closely to metrics & deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products

Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English, additional European language capabilities would be an advantage but are not essential
