Department Overview
Team Member Technologies (TMT) within the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) business comprises of Enterprise Endpoint & Mobility Services, Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration Services, Technology Connections and Specialized Desktop Support Services. TMT integrates electronic communication and collaboration platforms to offer the next generation of content collaboration solutions.

About the Role


Provides PC/LAN support. Uses basic diagnostic tools to troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware, software, applications and related network problems for individual users and resolves basic issues or escalates as needed. Completes routine work orders and move/add/change requests with guidance, including patches, upgrades, software deployments, installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on desktop hardware and related systems and completes related documentation. Provides routine training and technical assistance to users at the desktop level. Learns LAN design and configuration concepts. Assists in testing, implementing, maintaining and controlling PC/LAN systems. Understands BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop systems and hardware
  • Completes routine work orders and move/add/change requests with guidance, including patches, upgrades, software deployments, installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on desktop hardware and related systems and completes related documentation
  • Communicate required technical information to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore technical teams
  • Provides routine training and technical assistance to users at the desktop level
  • Learns LAN design and configuration concepts.
  • Assists in testing, implementing, maintaining and controlling PC/LAN systems.
  • Understands BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas
  • Respond to incoming user support requests within established guidelines ; working with the appropriate systems to monitor and track support events

Market Skills and Certifications

  • Must be a graduate of IT or Engineering courses
  • Strong customer centric service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • In depth knowledge in assembling computer hardware
  • Knowledgeable with Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) Systems
  • Worked with TC/ PB Ops to ensure tickets are routed/escalated to appropriate
  • Familiar with BCP concept and resumption LAN support
  • Have VOIP phones, Windows 7 and 10 experience
