In this role, team members participate in the design, development, integration, testing, deployment and support of technology solutions to complex and challenging business requirements in a variety of domains. You should have an understanding of and be able to follow the SDLC process in ensuring quality code, secure development practice and compliance requirements.
 
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing technical guidance and consultation with application teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, middleware, operating systems, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products.
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices.
  • Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with their technology domain including, upgrades and deployments.
  • Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments.
  • Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures.
  • Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets.
  • Act as an escalation point in providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems. Leads projects and manages the work of less experienced staff.
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of application development experience
  • 5 + years of .Net and Java application development experience or a combination of both



Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)
  • Agile experience
  • Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers
  • SQL experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology object oriented: design patterns and their application
  • Experience successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Applicants that are attendees and/or participants of the GHC 2021 event or associated with affiliates of AnitaB.org
  • Advanced knowledge of ASP.NET Framework.
  • Knowledge of .Net core
  • Experience with RESTful or SOAP web services
  • Experience in developing event driven solutions using Kafka
  • Experience with MongoDB
  • Testing experience testing using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
