Job Description

This position is within Corporate Trust Services (CTS).

Wells Fargo Corporate Trust Services offers a variety of fiduciary and agency services in connection with debt securities issued by public and private corporations, government entities, and the banking and securities industries, including mortgage-backed, asset-backed, CDO, municipal, and corporate/high yield and litigation settlement administration. This position resides in ABS and will be assigned to the Structured Product Services Group within Wells Fargo Corporate Trust. The Asset-Backed Securities division, with expertise in longevity transactions, backup and successor servicing, unusual asset types, and customer service, leads the industry in privately placed transactions. It maintains a 25 percent market share in five asset classes including auto, equipment leases, trade receivables and timeshare loans.

Duties: Develop financial and/or production models for deals ( asset-backed securities and collateralized debt obligations) of limited complexity to support parameters proposed or outlined in the governing securities documents. Work with internal/external clients to resolve modeling issues and questions related to deal structure, parameters and set-up. May identify and communicate processing issues and escalate for resolution. May actively participate in projects, including assisting systems support group with design, programming, analysis, testing and implementation aspects. Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving, with respect to production and/or issuance issues. May assist with developing departmental and division procedures, policies and controls to maintain the accuracy and efficiency of processes and minimize the risk of incorrect production and/or issuance output.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.



Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of mortgage finance experience, securitization modeling experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel. Includes building complex workbooks, payment waterfalls and look-ups
  • Advanced experience with Asset Backed Securities (ABS) deal documents or legal documents governing financial securities, such as corporate trust indentures and servicing agreements
  • 2+ years of experience in Corporate Trust Services (CTS)
  • 1+ year of Asset Backed Securities (ABS) product experience
  • Knowledge of End User Computing requirements
  • Knowledge or experience with payment and collateral calculations
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics or related field
