Enterprise Information Security’s (EIS) vision is to provide Wells Fargo world leading cyber security risk management. Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargo’s infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws.  EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

As a part of EIS, Enterprise Information Security Architecture (EISA) enables Wells Fargo business units to achieve their objectives and to make informed decisions that balance risk with reward, by providing actionable security strategies, architectures and solutions.


EISA is seeking a talented information security professional who will be aligned to the Wholesale line of business. This position will work with Wholesale line of business and the EIS Information Security Business Leaders to support the Wholesale business initiatives, projects, and new technology development to make sure risks are identified and adequate mitigation controls are recommended. The successful candidate will:

  • Contribute to or consult on the Wholesale business strategic initiatives, design and review medium to high impact business projects to ensure information security risks are adequately identified, assessed, and mitigated. Work closely with the EISA architects to provide the best services to the Wholesale business.
  • Manage the relationship with the Wholesale line of business through connecting with the EIS Information Security Business Leader for Wholesale, the Wholesale CIO architects and development teams, as well as the wholesale risk community. Be able to understand the business objectives and challenges, and prioritize security work to meet their need with the guidance from the EISA Wholesale team lead.
  • Play a lead role in leveraging enterprise solutions as security risk mitigating controls and identifying the opportunity to develop new solutions through security architecture artifact development and industry engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of information technology systems design and planning experience; in systems, applications, or architecture

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive technical skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of an entire line of business or infrastructure sub-domain
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of monitoring the development of security vulnerabilities, threats, exposures, associated risk, and mitigating solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: dynamic application or software assessments (web application penetration testing, web application vulnerability testing)
  • Information Security Tools Development Unix and Windows experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of strategic security planning for critical infrastructure equipment environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of cryptography and key management
  • SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS AJAX
  • Knowledge and understanding of components such as framework, security or authentication, event driven architecture and tool sets for problem monitoring and solving
  • Knowledge and understanding of relational databases
  • Relationship support exposure; preferably within Wells Fargo's Wholesale Banking Group
  • 5+ years of web applications experience
  • Extensive technical skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of an entire line of business or infrastructure sub-domain
