Market Job Description


Wells Fargo Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF) provides inventory financing solutions, services, and intelligence through in-depth industry expertise and a commitment to customers. As a leading provider in specialized financing and servicing solutions to over 40,000 customers globally, CDF delivers when it comes to helping facilitate the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of products across a variety of industries – from Powersports, Marine, and Recreational Vehicles, to Outdoor Lawn & Garden, Agriculture, Technology, and Electronics & Appliances.

This role can be based in Mississauga or Montreal.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the underwriting of floor plan lending transactions.
  • Analyze customer financial, organizational and credit information and prepare credit write ups for management.
  • Identify relevant business, market and other commercial risks faced by the customer.
  • Review new credit requests and monitor existing credit facilities on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in portfolio management including reviewing waiver requests, satisfying credit conditions and assessing collateral information in support of new and existing credit facilities.
  • Using results of analysis and sound judgment, approve or decline transactions within delegated credit authority and make sound recommendations for transactions which exceed delegated authority.
  • Operate in a regulated environment and adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsabilités :
  • Assurer la souscription des opérations de financement des stocks
  • Analyser les renseignements financiers, organisationnels et de crédit des clients et préparer la documentation de crédit aux fins de gestion
  • Identifier les risques d'affaires, de marché et autres auxquels le client est confronté
  • Examiner les nouvelles demandes de crédit et surveiller les facilités de crédit existantes de façon continue
  • Collaborer à la gestion de portefeuille, notamment à l'examen des demandes d'exonération, la satisfaction des conditions de crédit et l'évaluation des renseignements sur les garanties pour les facilités de crédit nouvelles et existantes
  • Approuver ou refuser les transactions de crédit dans les limites discrétionnaires attribuées et émettre des recommandations fondées sur les résultats d'analyse et en faisant preuve de discernement
  • Exercer ses activités dans un environnement réglementé et respecter toutes les exigences réglementaires et de conformité


Market Skills and Certifications


Minimum qualifications:

  • 1+ year of financial analysis experience or similar experiences/exposure in reviewing financial statements
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with internal stakeholders and clients which include dealers, distributors and manufacturers.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, and recognize the importance of data integrity and adherence to credit policy and procedures.
  • Possess fundamental knowledge of corporate legal structures, security and documentation requirements, and security perfection including familiarity with PPSA and RDPRM.
  • Working knowledge in various inventory finance programs and agreements
  • Bilingual (French/English)

Preferred skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience in commercial finance lending or within the commercial banking industry

  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais)
