Vice President - Fixed Income Middle Market Financial Institution Sales

Middle Market Fixed Income Sales provides investment solutions for institutions that manage all or part of their own investment portfolios. We help customers develop investment strategies that involve buying, selling and underwriting fixed-income securities. We serve more than 15,000 customers across the United States. Our customers include any institution with funds available to invest or who are seeking access to capital.

Middle Market Fixed Income Sales is currently seeking Sales Representatives serving Middle Market clients with a primary focus in municipal securities

As a sales representative you will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing contacts with existing and potential customers.

  • Analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and provide products and services that fit the institutions needs. 

  • Conducts sales presentations. 

  • Keep informed of new products and other information of interest to customers.  Institutional Sales Reps are responsible for development of the business relationship with assigned institutional accounts. 

  • Develop knowledge of client needs and coordinate firm efforts to service client organizations.

  • Works closely with client investment personnel, advising clients on investment opportunities, and recommending the buying and selling of securities.

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications
  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and an MBA and/or CFA preferred
