We are looking to hire a full stack java developer to work in The Wealth Information Technology group performing application enhancements and steady-state support. 

The role develops and implements complex internet and intranet applications on one or more platforms. Acts as an escalation point for production troubleshooting guidance; provides training and mentoring to less experienced developers. May perform website and portal monitoring. Uses knowledge of web technologies to lead projects resulting in functional enhancements of web-based applications. Evaluates systems specifications for client web site requirements, leads design presentations, influences direction and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Coordinates with systems partners outside the group and oversees contractors on software development projects. Performs web-enabled database development and module design. Uses programming tools to write scripts. Performs web security activities and participates in security planning. 

Successful applicants will have ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team oriented environment while leading development and implementation of highly complex internet and intranet applications. This requires leveraging advanced knowledge and experience with cloud PAAS, Java, Spring Framework, and Angular 8+. 

Developer will handle analysis, design, programming, debugging and unit testing and system support. Which includes the opportunity analyze business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems in order to determine and implement the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. 

May serve as a subject matter expert for other technology team members regarding this application set. Support multiple Java applications. Responsibilities also includes maintaining existing code, performing enhancements as part of a delivery team, deliver major/minor security fixes and vulnerability remediation as required. In addition to taking ownership of complex production issues as required to support end users of a portfolio of applications. 



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Java experience
  • 3+ years of Spring framework experience such as Spring Boot
  • 1+ year of experience developing with Angular 7 and above application
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience



Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
  • 3+ years of Web Services experience
  • 3 + years of experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers
  • 3 + years of experience with front end frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry Administrator
  • Experience with major database engines including Oracle, SQL Server and DB2
  • JIRA experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • An industry-standard technology certification



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of JavaEE experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing single page applications
  • 1+ year of experience integrating with IBM BPM RESTful API
  • Junit/Integration Testing experience
  • Application servers like Tomcat and Node JS/NPM for building the applications
