About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Critical Facilities Technician at the Tempe Ops Data Center.


In this role, you will:

  • Supervise and direct external vendors to ensure regulations and operational procedures are followed

  • Ensure all work by the internal team as well as vendors are completed according to the regulation associated with each assignment

  • Perform the general building repair and maintenance duties, including repairs and maintenance to the mechanical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems

  • Mentor individuals and assist team management in ensuring compliance to safety standards

  • Conduct assessments and address any gaps in preventive maintenance

  • Monitor and respond to alerts, alarms and emergency situations

  • Assist in the operations of back up generators

  • Prioritize work and provide daily work leadership and mentorship to team

  • Contribute to implementation of process improvements

  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to team and external vendors


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 6+ years of Electrical Maintenance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Successful completion of an apprenticeship or trade school in one or combination of the following: HVAC Technician, Electrical Engineer or Electrical Maintenance; or experience in one or a combination of the following: Commercial Electrical, Electrical Maintenance, Commercial HVAC Technician or Facility Engineer


Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of data center: critical facilities systems: electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems

  • 2+ years of change management experience

  • Change management certification

  • Experience researching, developing, writing, and editing operational procedures and documents (SOP, MOP, EOP)

  • EPA Section 608 Technical Certification

  • CFC Certification

  • Data Center Experience

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
