Regulatory Change Program – ED, CIB COO BSE (M3)

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced change leader for its Regulatory Change Management Program within the CIB Front Office Change team in India. This role is responsible for leading and executing complex, end‑to‑end regulatory change initiatives impacting business processes, systems, data, and controls.

The individual is expected to independently manage high‑impact regulatory programs, partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, and Business stakeholders, and run multiple regulatory workstreams in parallel. The role also requires active participation in global forums, governance discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives, while fostering strong regulatory discipline and creative problem solving across teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or independently manage programs of high complexity within Regulatory Change Management, translating regulatory mandates into executable plans aligned to defined timelines and governance expectations
  • Interpret complex regulatory texts and guidance, assess applicability to CIB businesses, and drive impact assessments across processes, systems, data, and operating models
  • Review and analyze complex organizational and business structures to anticipate regulatory change impacts and ensure comprehensive engagement and remediation strategies
  • Oversee execution across planning, dependencies, resourcing, financials, delivery milestones, status reporting, risk management, and escalation, ensuring adherence to regulatory change methodology and artifact standards
  • Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, and Business teams to resolve ambiguity, align interpretations, and ensure consistent regulatory implementation
  • Matrix‑manage project managers, business analysts, and change leads across multiple regulatory initiatives
  • Lead a team of senior program and project managers delivering enterprise‑wide regulatory change outcomes for CIB Front Office
  • Ensure traceability from regulatory requirements through design, implementation, testing, and post‑implementation validation to support audit and supervisory

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of: regulatory change management, business execution, project/program management, implementation, business operations, or strategic planning within financial services
  • Deep understanding of regulatory change frameworks, regulatory interpretation, and end‑to‑end implementation within large, complex banking environments
  • Strong ability to work with senior stakeholders to interpret regulatory requirements, evaluate options, and deliver compliant, scalable, and sustainable solutions
  • Proven capability to convert regulatory mandates into cost‑effective, scalable, reliable, and auditable business solutions
  • Strong awareness of external regulatory trends and the ability to guide teams in anticipating impacts and adapting strategies accordingly
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving agendas, facilitating senior‑level discussions, and enabling timely decision‑making
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and critical‑thinking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to regulators, senior management, and delivery teams
  • Ability to lead multiple high‑risk, high‑impact global regulatory programs simultaneously
  • 6+ years of people management experience leading senior program, project, or change professionals

  • Identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency while strengthening regulatory adherence, controls, and front‑to‑back process integrity
  • Partners with cross‑functional teams to operationalize regulatory requirements, embed controls, and address gaps identified through change execution
  • Supports initiatives involving data lineage, interfaces, remediation, process redesign, and reporting driven by regulatory change
  • Champions integration and collaboration across functions and geographies, enabling consistent regulatory outcomes
  • Leads and advises senior stakeholders on transformational regulatory change initiatives with enterprise‑wide impact
  • Enables planning, execution, and measurement of regulatory change outcomes to inform future regulatory strategy and execution models

Risk & Control Mindset:

  • Ensures change governance is executed efficiently and in line with policies, standards, and procedures
  • Leads analysis of monitoring, oversight, and regulatory execution data to identify trends, themes, and opportunities to strengthen compliance
  • Ensures operational practices align with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies to maintain a strong control environment
  • Partners with Compliance and Operational Risk teams to identify, log, and manage Issues and Actions, ensuring timely remediation
  • Drives enhancements to assessment processes, tools, and methodologies to improve regulatory execution accuracy, consistency, and transparency
