About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Warehouse Lending Customer Service Associate for Collateral Monitoring.

This role is responsible for processing, monitoring and examining client collateral information serviced on the warehouse loan system.

Duties include confirmation of receipt of collateral, verification and clearing of collateral exceptions as well as maintaining collateral reports.  Frequent interaction with clients and custodians via phone and email providing updates on collateral, client issues and questions.


In this role, you will:

  • Accurately confirm receipt of collateral documents (e.g., Notes, Deeds of Trust, Allonges, Endorsements, Riders) and ensure records are updated timely in the system of record.
  • Proactively monitor collateral aging and eligibility requirements in accordance with client legal agreements.
  • Maintain accurate collateral reports to support operational controls and client SLA's
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients and custodians by providing clear, timely updates via phone and email,
  • Respond professionally to client inquiries and issues related to collateral status, documentation, and requirements.
  • Deliver a best‑in‑class customer experience while adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.
  • Perform effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume production environment supporting large monthly funding volumes.
  • Manage daily tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting service level expectations.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and production growth while maintaining consistent performance.
  • Understand the importance of accurate collateral data to minimize operational, legal, and data risks.
  • Follow established procedures to support strong controls and reduce the risk of SLA breaches or customer impact.
  • Escalate potential risks or issues appropriately to management.
  • Work collaboratively within the team and with internal partners to meet shared goals.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in all interactions.
  • Accept direction from leadership while exercising sound judgment within defined parameters


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Customer Service, Financial Services or Contact Center experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Warehouse Lending, Retail and/or Wholesale Mortgage Operations
  • Familiar with mortgage documentation including but not limited to: Notes, Deeds of Trust, Allonges, Endorsements and Riders.  
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
