Responsible for managing the funding of over 200 Nostro accounts that Wells Fargo maintains in various currencies across the globe. The individual is expected to be the subject matter expert for a variety of platforms and functions. They will be accountable for a set of complex processes from initiation to completion. They will also be working in a global team environment so collaboration and coordination of information among various areas such as the trading, investigations, global relationship management, static data, technology, reconciliation is essential.
In this role, you will:
Manage and initiate the funding between Wells Fargo’s nostro accounts with other foreign banks in a time sensitive environment
Reconcile discrepancies and troubleshoot and resolve issues arising the funding activities
Provide monitoring and reporting of balances and other data for multiple parties
Participate in lifecycle support tasks for FX trades and identify opportunity for process improvements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
Be actively involved in improvements to the existing processes and systems and engage in projects related to that including but not limited to providing guidance, requirements, testing, etc.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Management, Accounting, and/or Economics
Experience in Financial Services Operations/complex processes
Knowledge of FX applications such as Opics, Pega, Intellimatch, Sapphire, etc.
Experience in FX Wires Operations and/or FX Investigations
Strong Business Writing and Communication Skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced and fluid environment
Ability to adapt and learn new systems, processes, and regulations quickly, and on a regular basis
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to convey processes, procedures, guidelines, and analytics to variety of audiences
Self-motivated and a strong desire for continued learning
Intermediate Excel and other MS Office products skills
Ability to work across multiple work streams to analyze business processes to determine appropriate solutions
Ability to interact professionally with customers, business partners, peers, and upper management
Job Expectations:
Ability to work a hybrid schedule
Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
Ability to work additional hours as needed
