About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Architect to strengthen and sustain our SaaS security architecture and enterprise threat modeling capabilities. This role plays a foundational part in securing enterprise SaaS services and advising technology leaders through complex risk and architecture decisions.
You will partner closely with architecture, engineering, and risk teams to deliver threat models, security assessments, and architectural guidance that directly informs how technology is designed, approved, and deployed.
In This Role, You Will:
- Lead complex projects and initiatives with companywide scope and visibility
- Create and contribute to architectural artifacts for key technology initiatives
- Help define future-state technology architecture and strategy
- Identify initiatives with medium to high architectural impact
- Conduct in-depth technology and system assessments to shape architecture solutions
- Communicate enterprise architecture strategy to both technical teams and leadership
- Make decisions related to the development and maintenance of architectures
- Apply compliance and risk management requirements across supported areas
- Ensure solutions align with Wells Fargo standards, policies, methodologies, and industry best practices
- Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and deliver secure, scalable outcomes
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education
Desired Technical Skills:
- SaaS security architecture (enterprise-scale platforms)
- Hands-on experience leveraging Generative AI to accelerate secure-by-design architectures, evaluate solution designs, propose risk-reducing controls, and improve automation and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with agentic AI concepts, including agents used to orchestrate workflows and system interactions
- Cloud security architecture (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP)
- Enterprise threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE, ATT&CK)
- Identity and access management (SSO, federation, privileged access)
- Data protection controls (encryption, DLP, key management)
- Secure SaaS onboarding and shared-responsibility models
- API, integration, and platform security
- CI/CD and developer tooling security
- Zero Trust architecture concepts
- Security risk assessment and remediation planning
Role Responsibilities:
Identify and account for AI model limitations, security risks, operational constraints, and misuse scenarios in architecture decisions
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $206,000.00Benefits
