About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Securities Operations Specialist as part of the Wealth Client Performance Analytics group within Wealth and Investment Management Operations. This team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of client portfolio and performance data across Wealth and Investment Management. This role focuses on reconciling client data between books and records systems, analyzing portfolio performance returns, identifying discrepancies, and performing root cause analysis to resolve issues that may impact client reporting, financial results, or risk exposure. In this role, you will work with marketable securities as well as alternative and private capital assets, leveraging enterprise systems and data tool to support data management audits, strengthen operational controls, and partner with peers and cross‑functional teams to resolve escalations, improve processes, and mitigate operational risk in a highly regulated, fast‑paced environment.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex lifecycle initiatives and support tasks and act as a participant in large-scale planning and deliverables; identify opportunity for process improvements within Securities Operations
  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational tasks or challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues on a full process within a trade environment while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements; may lead team to meet deliverables
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor for lower level staff
  • Manage expertise in the following operational processes including client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Resolve moderately complex escalated issues within the scope of responsibility in Security Operations
  • Research moderately complex business risks, influence policies, enhance customer satisfaction, and review time sensitive documents and transaction requests
  • Exercise independent judgment in understanding trade settlement workflow controls to minimalize the effects of operational breakdowns
  • Contribute to overall effectiveness of the team according to plans; monitor daily securities and cash related production work
  • Lead or contribute to implementation of projects and new or revised processes and procedures that require coordination among operation teams and perform analysis for initiatives that support business strategies making decisions on matters with financial impact and risk


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:  work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  •  4+ years of experience performing client data reconcilement functions between books and records system
  • 2+ years of experience completing portfolio performance return analysis, detecting issues, and completing root cause analysis
  • 2+ years of experience with portfolio performance systems like Black Diamond, Zephyr, Addepar, PARis, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and/or completing data management audits
  • Strong knowledge of investments including complex asset groups (Alternatives, Real Assets, and Options) and understanding of impact to investment performance
  • Ability to identify performance calculation issues and execute independent research
  • Demonstrated experience with SEI/Trust 3000 and/or BETA
  • Demonstrated experience driving transformational change across operational functions while fulfilling the complex and sensitive needs of the client population
  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
  • High motivation with ability to successfully meet team objectives while maintaining personal performance
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across the Line of Business stakeholders
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Continued drive to build process improvement and product knowledge skills
  • Experience using Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SQL and Co-Pilot 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills
     


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote; posted location 1525 W. W T Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC
