About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Manager to lead transformation of credit decisioning strategy execution capabilities and enable growth in Consumer Lending businesses. This role is a key driver of the credit decisioning transformation, accountable for evolving the organization from fragmented, rules‑heavy, segment‑based decisions toward scalable, data‑driven, and economically optimized decisioning capabilities.

In this role, you will:
Define the capabilities needed to transform the credit decisioning infrastructure and enable agility
Own the strategic roadmap for Credit Decisioning capabilities, enabling the execution of credit strategies authored by business partners
Partner closely with Product and Technology to ensure accurate, scalable, and timely implementation
Drive alignment and influence across a highly matrixed organization to deliver outcomes without direct ownership of product or engineering teams
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to align on strategy, success metrics, and the future state of credit decisioning execution capabilities
Ensure modernization initiatives meet regulatory, risk, and business requirements, supported by strong governance, controls, documentation, and audit readiness
Lead change across new ways of working, guiding the organization through modernization of legacy processes, platforms, and execution models
Build, lead, and develop high‑performing teams by fostering a strong culture of talent development, accountability, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years Management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with consumer lending and a strong understanding of credit risk decisioning frameworks
Experience leading and managing teams responsible for delivering enterprise‑scale capability and infrastructure modernization initiatives, particularly within credit, fraud, or other decisioning domains, with direct accountability for transformation outcomes
Experience identifying, diagnosing, and resolving data quality or data integrity issues across complex data environments
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field
Experience translating and summarizing complex data and technical concepts into understandable, actionable information and recommendations to executive level audiences
Proven ability to own outcomes while operating at the intersection of business and technology, driving execution without direct ownership of product or engineering teams
Ability to influence Product and Technology through structured requirements and operate effectively across strategy and detailed execution
Proven ability to operate effectively and influence outcomes within large, highly matrixed organizations, including experience partnering with senior leaders across Credit, Risk, Technology, and Product
Experience operating within regulated environments, with an understanding of governance, controls, and risk considerations as they relate to decisioning capabilities
Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, including influencing senior leaders through concise, data‑driven presentations and clear strategic storytelling
A demonstrated focus on leading, coaching, mentoring and guiding team member development
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
