About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area.
- Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Provide L2/L3 production support for BPM and AEM platforms supporting applications across multiple Lines of Business.
- Address user and application issues reported via email, chat, and support ticketing systems within defined SLAs.
- Perform installation, configuration, administration, and daily operations of BPM and AEM platforms across multiple environments.
- Monitor system health and performance, apply patches, and proactively troubleshoot production issues using tools such as ITRS, Grafana and AppDynamics.
- Manage and resolve major production incidents, coordinating with application, infrastructure, network, and other technology teams to minimize downtime.
- Optimize and manage middleware configurations, including JVM tuning, cluster setup, and environment‑specific customizations, to ensure performance, scalability, and stability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and reliable operation of middleware services.
- Recommend and implement automation of different administration tasks via UNIX shell scripts/Python Scripts, command line utilities.
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity, platform availability, and business continuity.
- Manage certificate renewals, application‑specific certificate configurations, and related troubleshooting activities.
Job Expectations:
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (6:30 AM–3:30 PM or 10:30 AM–7:30 PM) and provide weekend support on a rotational basis.
- Hands-on experience with Middleware administration on BPM, PAM, AEM on Redhat Linux.
- Sound knowledge in IT Service Management- Incident/Problem Management, ITIL, Change/Release Management & Service transformations.
- Hand-on experience on tools like ITRS, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus
- Strong Python/Perl/Shell/UNIX skills
- Should be able to independently manage complex platform issues
- Ability to perform in-depth technical postmortem of major incidents
- Ability to understand team dynamics and use interpersonal skills and personal judgment to achieve goals
- SRE/Cloud certifications
- ITIL certification
