About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Financial Aligned Analyst


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives on matters related to financial research and reporting as well as financial consulting related to business performance for a specific business unit, division, or product

  • Provide companywide advice and technical expertise on matters related to complex financial analysis as well as economic research in support of management decision making functions

  • Research strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning in support of line of business goals

  • Provide support and influence in the management of product pricing, portfolio performance, closing research and validation

  • Review and analyze multi-faceted technical challenges that require evaluation or multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors

  • Make decisions in maintaining effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standards and internal control standards

  • Lead implementation of complex initiatives impacting multiple lines of business companywide

  • Meet deliverables and drive new initiatives with solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to senior managers in finance and in a given line of business to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • CA / CWA / MBA / Postgraduate in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Collect, centralize and consolidate the data from different source and present it to market leaders for business decision making.
  • Collaborated with various market and regional heads on daily basis for producing various metrics for business review.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills required.
  • Strong communication skills required for a regular connect with senior leaders.
  • Exposure to key accounting tools like Oracle Financials, Essbase and Alteryx / Power BI.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and ability to prepare and present analysis and recommendations
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
  • Ability to translate and present complex guidance and data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions
  • Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes
  • Demonstrated experience fostering strong partnerships, promoting teamwork, and influencing others
  • Sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement
  • Strong controls background and mindset
  • Ability to influence and partner with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Comfortable to work in Rotational shifts including Night shift.

Job Expectation:

  • Lead complex initiatives on matters related to financial research and reporting as well as financial consulting related to business performance for a specific business unit, division, or product
  • Oversee and coordinate all forecasting functions in collaboration with the Forecasting Team, including the management of balances, net interest margin (NIM), expenses, and full-time equivalents (FTE).
  • Develop and present data visualizations using PowerPoint and other tools, transforming complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise in Profit view (PV) and support pricing strategies to optimize business outcomes.
  • Execute ad hoc projects for Sub Business Leaders, delivering timely and accurate results to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Domestic Leads to implement a “follow the sun” operational model, ensuring continuous support and seamless handoffs across global teams.
  • Coach and mentor members of the Global Finance Analyst pool, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Adapt to evolving responsibilities as reporting processes become automated; leverage Reporting and Analytics dashboards or transition tasks to FAPs to enhance finance operations and address skill gaps.
  • Assess costs/revenue against forecasts and provide comprehensive variance analysis to stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of financial and operational data; collaborate with business partners to interpret findings.
  • Collect and validate financial information, address complex issues, and perform advanced analyses.
  • Perform sophisticated variance and trend analysis; advise business partners on financial policy matters.
  • Reconcile, consolidate, and analyze data through scenario and sensitivity analysis to establish key performance metrics.
  • Monitor KPI trends, investigate unexpected variances, and review financial indicators.
  • Analyze results, prepare detailed reports, and conduct commercial evaluations.
  • Develop and manage predictive models to forecast financial outcomes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and actively participate in strategic planning discussions.
  • Examine economic, headcount, and year-to-date trends for variance analysis purposes.
  • Propose innovative solutions to streamline and enhance processes.
