About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant to support Originations Fraud analytics within the Originations Fraud team in FCM.
The position performs critical activities including Originations Fraud analytics, dashboard development, fraud rule development/oversight, and model analysis for vendor and internal models.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development of advanced analytics and dashboard development for originations fraud.
- Develop new strategies to counteract fraud trends and evaluate existing strategies for refinement and optimal performance.
- Continuously manage right balance between risk, customer experience and existing team capacity to review alerts.
- Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence analytical strategies for highly complex business and technical needs supporting originations fraud.
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques and advanced data from multiple sources across the enterprise
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise
- Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Skilled and experienced in advanced data analytics techniques with an educational background in a quantitative/analytical field (Statistics, Economics, etc)
- Experience in fraud risk and mitigation including strategies to reduce or mitigate loss and fraud exposures
- Leadership experience - including coaching, training, mentoring
- 4+ years of experience with SAS, SQL, Python or other data management, reporting and query tools. Includes experience designing and optimizing complex SQL queries involving table joins and correlated sub-queries on large scale data tables
- 4+years of experience with data visualization skills in Tableau / PowerBI or similar is needed to be able to analyze and present findings.
- 4+ years of experience using data and analytics to inform and develop risk mitigation strategies
- 4+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
- Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions
- Ability to learn and assimilate information from multiple people and sources
- Knowledge of Deposit products and data
