Internal Communications Lead – Corporate & Investment Banking

About this role:

This role will shape and deliver internal communications for Wells Fargo’s Corporate & Investment Banking division, with a focus on the Markets business, to strengthen strategic alignment, accelerate execution, and reinforce leadership priorities. This individual contributor will support the management team—translating business strategy, organizational decisions, and change initiatives into clear, timely, and executive-ready communications across channels. The role will also oversee message sequencing and sensitive change communications to manage risk, reduce noise, prevent overlap, and improve employee understanding.

This position is available in Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Irving, TX; and Minneapolis, MN and offers a hybrid work schedule.  The Wells Fargo job profile is Lead Communications Consultant.


In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to the Markets management team

  • Write and edit executive messages, announcements, newsletters, and employee updates for Markets

  • Develop communications plans for organizational changes, leadership transitions, and sensitive updates

  • Surface business-led story ideas and deliver employee communications that enhance engagement

  • Own the Markets communications cadence to prevent overlap and maintain a consistent narrative

  • Develop messaging for senior leader forums, including town halls, leadership calls, and webcasts

  • Prepare speakers with briefs, talking points, and rehearsal support to improve message delivery

  • Create run-of-show materials and post-event follow-ups to reinforce decisions and next steps

  • Coordinate internal and select external-facing messages, including executive LinkedIn posts

  • Track engagement and feedback across channels and adjust plans to improve understanding


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Experience developing communications plans for an investment bank, asset management, private equity, or B2B financial services company


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience writing executive communications and leveraging multiple channels for storytelling

  • Experience providing communications counsel to management teams

  • Experience writing for a variety of distinct executive voices 

  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations

  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades and influences decision-makers

  • 125 High Street - Boston, MA ($100,800 to $179,200)

  • 401 South Tryon Street - Charlotte, NC ($84,000 to $149,400)

  • 401 West Las Colinas Boulevard - Irving, TX ($84,000 to $149,400)

  • 90 South 7th Street - Minneapolis, MN ($84,000 to $149,400)

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$100,000.00 - $196,000.00
