About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Engineer .

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


 


Desired Qualifications:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‑performance UI and enterprise web applications using .NET 8 and ASP.NET Core.
  • Build responsive, user‑friendly interfaces using ReactJS, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Develop and manage data access layers using ADO.NET and Entity Framework, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.
  • Work extensively with Google Big Query and Teradata databases, including schema design, complex SQL queries, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Integrate UI components with backend services and APIs (RESTful and microservices‑based architectures).
  • Deploy and maintain applications on OCP / Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
  • Implement and manage EPLx‑based deployments using Harness CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated builds, testing, and releases.
  • Ensure adherence to secure coding standards, performance benchmarks, and enterprise quality guidelines.
  • Work with Python and create optimalization and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Utilize GenAI/Agentic AI for reasoning, planning, and tools to execute complex, multi-step workflows where applicable.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
  • Mentor junior developers and help enforce best practices across UI and backend development.


Job Expectations:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Full‑Stack) with 6–10 years of hands‑on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise‑scale web applications and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in .NET 8, ASP.NET Core, ReactJS, jQuery, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, and Google Big Query, along with experience deploying applications on Oracle Cloud (OCP/OCI) using EPLx‑based deployments and Harness CI/CD pipelines.
  • This role requires strong problem‑solving skills, solid UI/UX understanding, deep full‑stack knowledge, and the ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 6–10 years of professional experience in UI / Full‑Stack / Enterprise Application Development
  • Proven experience delivering large‑scale, high‑availability enterprise applications
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, agile environment
  • Team‑oriented mindset with mentoring and leadership capabilities
  • Strong ownership and accountability for deliverables
