About this role:
Wells Fargo Home Lending is seeking a Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant to provide strategic leadership across the Home Lending Transformation footprint. This role is responsible for driving delivery of the Home Lending Originations platform with enterprise level scope and reporting. This role will lead planning, program execution, performance measurement, and returns realization for a complex, multi-year loan origination system transformation with material business, financial, and risk impact. Success in this role requires strong product judgment, executive influence, and the ability to responsibly apply emerging capabilities—including Artificial Intelligence—within a highly regulated environment.
In this role, you will:
Act as a Business Execution advisor to leadership to drive performance and initiatives, and develop and implement information delivery or presentations to key stakeholders and senior management
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges related to Business Execution that require solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of Business Execution, and understanding of business, delivering longer term and large-scale solutions
Operate in a highly matrixed environment and serve as an integrator across technology, product, business, finance, risk, and control partners.
Assess current state processes, define, and execute future state capabilities, and re-envision processes and procedures to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer outcomes.
Drive assessment of current state originations processes, systems, and operating procedures
Drive delivery of a large-scale Home Lending Originations platform, from strategy through execution and stabilization
Develop integrated execution plans, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and delivery governance
Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational
Lead team meetings or steering committees to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an experienced advisor to the leadership
Provide direction to a cross functional team using business expertise
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience assessing and integrating GenAI enabled agents and automation to reduce manual effort, improve cycle time, and enhance decision quality
Experience ensuring GenAI use cases align with Wells Fargo risk, model governance, privacy, and control standards
Experience serving banks, Fintechs, or other non-bank financial institutions
Familiarity with responsible AI principles, governance, and operating within regulated environments
Strong leader presence and communication with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
Proven ability to partner and build trusted partnerships with Technology, Sales, Marketing, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and other support partners
Proven ability to define product strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and lead through ambiguity
Strong customer experience, lifecycle management, and data driven decision making capabilities
Job Expectations:
This position requires compliance with all mortgages regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo’s compliance policies related to these requirements. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
