Operations Strategy and Business Execution Lead

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled professional with strong expertise in strategic consulting, business storytelling, data analytics, and executive communications. The Operations Strategy and Business Execution Lead will be responsible for creating compelling decks and briefings tailored for various audiences including internal Operations groups, line of business executives, and cross-functional partners while ensuring clear alignment to strategy and priorities. The individual will transform complex data, metrics, and operational insights into clear narratives and recommendations that drive decision-making, execution focus, and measurable outcomes.


In this role, you will:

  • Act as a strategic operations advisor to leadership to drive performance and initiatives; develop and implement executive-ready information delivery and presentations for key stakeholders and senior management
  • Develop high-quality executive presentations, decks, and briefings that communicate Operations strategy, performance, risks, and progress against priorities
  • Translate complex data, metrics, and operational analysis into concise, persuasive, audience-ready stories with clear hypotheses, insights, and recommendations; ensure strong visual impact
  • Develop and maintain executive-level performance views (dashboards, scorecards, KPI narratives) to support strategic decision-making and business reviews
  • Partner with leaders, analysts, and operations stakeholders to clarify problem statements, align on objectives and priorities, and frame narratives tied to strategic outcomes
  • Support strategic planning, business reviews, and key initiatives by developing consulting-style storylines (e.g., situation–complication–resolution), options, and decision points that influence outcomes
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex, cross-organizational business execution challenges; deliver longer-term and large-scale solutions using strong analytical and business judgment
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational
  • Lead team meetings and/or steering committees to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional partners by connecting workstreams to the broader operating model, strategy, and leadership priorities; surface trade-offs, risks, and dependencies
  • Create communication materials that resonate with multiple audiences—from senior executives to broader employee groups—tailoring message, level of detail, and call to action
  • Maintain consistency of messaging and ensure alignment with the broader organizational voice and brand standards
  • Anticipate leadership needs by proactively proposing analytical views, narrative frameworks, visuals, and communication approaches to accelerate decisions
  • Travel to various offices may be required as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:  work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of business execution, investment banking, strategic planning, strategy & operations, or strategic consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Proven ability to craft and deliver written briefings with analytical and critical thinking
  • Strong skills in simplifying complex data into actionable and persuasive stories
  • Excellent business writing, editing, and communications skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Business acumen or prior experience in wealth and investment management operations
  • Background in management consulting, internal consulting/strategy, or a strategic communications role supporting senior executives with strong alignment and change leadership
  • Advanced proficiency with data and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI/Tableau) and comfort partnering with data teams; SQL a plus

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote; locations 1525 W. W T Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC or 550 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202
