About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Secured Lending Underwriter to join our Supply Chain Finance group. The Secured Lending Underwriter partners closely with the Underwriting team to evaluate and manage account debtor risk, including conducting due diligence and financial analysis for credit requests up to $1 million. This role holds direct credit approval authority, monitors ongoing account performance, and reviews daily order approvals for assigned debtors. The position requires applying independent judgment within established policies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and resolving low- to medium-risk issues to support business objectives.


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in the partnership with the Underwriting team on all aspects of account debtor underwriting
  • Conduct due diligence on new account debtors in connection with requests for internal guidance lines up to $1 million. Due diligence to include financial analysis, review of historical payment performance, review of third-party trade reports, and any other information deemed appropriate for the request.
  • Secured Lending Underwriter will have direct credit approval authority and will be responsible for ongoing monitoring of the performance of the accounts they approve.
  • Reviewing daily order approval requests for a designated list of account debtors.
  • Review basic issues, policies, or procedures where answers can quickly be obtained related to low to medium risk and deliverables
  • Receive direction from Secured Lending Underwriting supervisor and exercise independent judgement while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Secured Lending Underwriting experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of factoring and secured lending products, structures, and programs
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid financial analysis capabilities
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally across multiple business lines
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$87,000.00 - $140,000.00
