About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Harness CD.
- Lead release engineering activities, ensuring reliability, security, and standardization across enterprise platforms
- Implement security and quality gates across pipelines, integrating best practices for DevSecOps.
- Lead application onboarding and deployment on Cloud platforms and OpenShift (OCP), ensuring cloud-native, highly available architectures.
- Design and implement blue-green and high-availability deployment models using containers and Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Drive standardization and adoption of Docker containerization and platform best practices.
- Architect and deliver Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud and platform provisioning
- Create automated onboarding, database deployment, reporting, and monitoring solutions to accelerate delivery velocity.
- Build self-service capabilities to enable developer autonomy while maintaining governance.
- Design and integrate observability and monitoring solutions to ensure availability, performance, and operational insight.
- Provide advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting support for containerized and cloud-hosted workloads.
- Lead setup and automation of Kafka and Flink pipelines, supporting real-time, event-driven architectures.
- Develop automation using Python or Shell scripting to improve platform reliability and engineering productivity.
- Apply modern engineering practices to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and design guidance across teams, influencing architecture, tooling, and best practices.
- Lead and contribute to enterprise transformation programs such as platform migrations, cloud adoption, and DevSecOps modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with LOB stakeholders, CIO leadership, architecture, and external service providers.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools including GitHub, GitHub Actions, Harness CD, and related automation platforms.
- Hands-on expertise in Cloud Engineering, OpenShift (OCP), Docker, and Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure Automation using Terraform.
- Strong Python and Shell scripting skills for automation and platform tooling
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and Linux system administration.
- Experience designing and supporting streaming platforms (Kafka/Flink) is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience supporting senior leaders.
- Experience working in Agile environments and large enterprise transformation programs
