About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an analytic Consultant
In this role, you will:
- Support Financial Crimes Risk Management applications through daily reporting review, exception analysis, and data issue identification and resolution
- Perform data analysis, reporting, and visualization to generate actionable insights
- Source, integrate, and validate data across multiple business units
- Maintain and update input mappings, documentation, and operational procedures
- Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and risk management standards
- Develop, maintain, and enhance SQL queries and reporting solutions
- Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing
- Act as Product Owner for assigned initiatives, including backlog management and prioritization
- Partner with technology teams to define business requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Identify data anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and escalate risks appropriately
- Create dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs for business decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and meet timelines
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong SQL and data querying skills
- Technical writing and documentation expertise
- Microsoft tools proficiency
- Collaboration and stakeholder management skills (Business & Technology teams)
- Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional environments
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills
Job Expectations
- Experience in financial services or Financial Crimes/AML domain
- Exposure to data governance, risk, or compliance frameworks
- Ability to improve processes and implement cost-effective solutions
- Experience re-engineering technical processes using quality tools
- Experience coordinating between business and technology teams
- Prior experience with Wells Fargo or similar institutions
- Exposure to product ownership or agile methodologies (JIRA, backlog management)
- Familiarity with dashboards, visualization tools, or analytics platforms
- 1+ years of analytics or data management experience
- Strong SQL expertise with ability to write and optimize complex queries
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, and data quality validation
- Strong Microsoft product knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
- Experience collaborating with business and technology teams to solve problems
- Understanding of data governance and risk/compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, and deadlines effectively
