About this Role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a senior exercise professional to design, execute, and evaluate enterprise-wide resiliency exercises across the crisis continuum reflecting “all hazards”. This will include a focus on strengthening operational resilience capabilities for enterprise-critical services/products and third-party dependencies.

This individual will contribute to the development and execution of a scalable, enterprise-aligned exercise program that evaluates business continuity, response readiness, decision-making, and recovery strategies. The role sits within the Enterprise Resiliency Exercise Office (EREO) and is responsible for delivering high-impact exercises that enhance the firm’s overall resilience posture.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead the design, development, execution, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide resiliency exercises, including tabletop (discussion-based), workshop, functional, limited-scale, and full-scale exercises.
  • Own the full exercise lifecycle, including:
    • Developing and maintaining an enterprise-aligned exercise framework that incorporates all-hazards scenarios impacting critical services, products, and third-party providers.
    • Designing realistic exercise scenarios, Master Scenario Event Lists (MSELs), injects, objectives, and evaluation criteria aligned to business priorities, emerging risks, and regulatory expectations.
    • Facilitating cross-functional exercises involving stakeholders across business, technology, resiliency, supply chain/procurement, and external partners.
    • Conducting post-exercise evaluations and producing clear, actionable After-Action Reports (AARs), including prioritized findings and recommendations.
    • Presenting exercise outcomes, key insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and governance forums.
    • Leading remediation and targeted follow-up activities, including workshops and additional exercises, to address identified gaps and strengthen resiliency capabilities.
    • Ensuring exercise documentation, artifacts, and processes meet internal standards, control requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and program maturity by identifying risks, gaps, lessons learned, and enhancement opportunities to strengthen the enterprise resiliency exercise program.
  • Support risk and control activities, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), issue management, audits, regulatory examinations, and other governance-related activities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to business, technology, and resiliency stakeholders by providing guidance on exercise planning, design, execution, and regulatory expectations.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a strategic scenario library aligned with emerging threats, business priorities, regulatory requirements, and evolving resiliency risks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience across the full business continuity and operational resiliency lifecycle, including governance, risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy and plan development, incident response, exercising and testing, crisis management, regulatory compliance, and continuous program improvement.
  • Proven leadership in financial services, with experience executing enterprise-wide exercises involving critical services/products and third-party providers.
  • Experience designing and executing large-scale exercises that simulate disruptions to enterprise-critical services and third-party ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks across complex environments.
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of driving program maturity and organizational change.
