The Lead Data Engineer will help shape and scale our Core Banking Platform Data ecosystem. In this role, you will focus on data ownership of next gen core banking platform that powers real time account management and transaction management in deposits System of record (SOR). Lead the design, build operation and end to end data ownership of reusable data capabilities for the core banking platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about standardized frameworks, self service data platforms, and governance by design, enabling secure, reliable, and compliant data solutions across multiple systems.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale software planning for the Technology area
  • Design, develop, and run tooling to discover problems in data and applications and report the issues to engineering and product leadership
  • Review and analyze complex software enhancement initiatives for business, operational or technical improvements that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring understanding of software package options and programming language and compliance requirements that influence and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational change
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve highly risky data engineering challenges

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with data technologies including SQL, ETL frameworks, data lakes, and tools such as Snowflake, Oracle, BigQuery, or similar platforms, supporting scalable data architecture, governance, and reporting solutions

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with data governance frameworks and data stewardship models
  • Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (Mainframe files, Diff, Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data stacks
  • Knowledge of data cataloging, master data management (MDM), and reference data systems
  • Experience in large-scale banking transformation programs
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin or similar
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Alteryx, Databricks, Snowflake etc.
  • Hands-on experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau or similar BI platforms
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data quality, and data lifecycle management

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $187,000.00
