Lead Infrastructure Engineer

About this role:

Well Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join the WIM Technology iCTO Business & Client Integration organization.

This engineer will play a critical role in bridging business and technology, translating business needs into clear requirements..  The role partners closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, product teams, and technology partners to support enterprise integration initiatives that directly impact Advisor experiences. Success in this role requires being cognizant of introducing changes a heavily regulated client facing LOB, experience working across large enterprise platforms, and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple initiatives while ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and regulatory needs.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications

  • Be engaged, drive and lead complex initiatives to provide technological solutions with broad impact for WIM Line of Business

  • Act as a key participant in providing strategic business solutions to companywide technology initiatives

  • Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure

  • Evaluate highly complex business problems and provide subject matter knowledge proficiency for technology initiatives

  • Define and lead detailed research on business and technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements

  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of the End User Computing domain and technology applications, and which influence companywide technology solutions

  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to provide comprehensive technological solutions for complex business problems

  • Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of experience supporting large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with leadership visibility

  • 4+ years of experience contributing to governance processes, execution cadence, and portfolio-level reporting in a complex enterprise environment

  • 2+ years of Application/Desktop support & troubleshooting skills with a keen focus on client experience

  • 1+ years of experience delivering successful desktop migration services


Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with WIM Business groups

  • Proven ability to triage complex issues and drive resolution across multiple teams

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity create shared vision, inspire collaboration, and drive change

  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed and regulated LOB

  • Ability to create strong professional partnerships

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple high priority, high complexity, and high-risk efforts simultaneously
