Onboarding Investment Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Onboarding Investment Consultant to join our Advisor Onboarding team in Wealth and Investment Management (WIM). In this highly consultative role, you will support advisor transitions by analyzing incoming portfolios, mapping assets to our platform, and recommending strategic product solutions. You’ll partner directly with recruits to identify alignment and design alternatives that enable them to seamlessly rebuild their books of business. In this role, you will:

  • Lead the product mapping process for experienced advisors, along with other programs, services and initiatives by partnering across functional teams to strategize, plan and execute

  • Drive accountability for assigned investment product and lending initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate for new recruits

  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of current product due diligence process and lending vetting

  • Review product due diligence assessments to identify creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations for recruit's product mapping decisions

  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans

  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Advisor Recruiting and Onboarding team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives

  • Present at Advisor Recruit Due Diligence on our product and lending platform for further education and awareness

  • Assist new recruits after they start to ensure they feel comfortable with the product mapping plan for onboarding, partner with local manager as well


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of investment products, lending solutions, and product due diligence processes, including experience working with financial advisors on options for investment product and lending decisions

  • Experience partnering across an investment management center of excellence and lending product partners to resolve issues

  • Proven experience in building and sustaining professional relationships while serving as a key point of contact throughout process execution

  • Ability to take ownership of processes, driving improvements and ensuring successful execution

  • Ability to analyze complex business scenarios, develop strategic solutions, and drive decision-making

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering content to senior stakeholders or advisor audiences

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including recruiting, onboarding, product, and compliance

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a focus on efficiency and risk mitigation

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities

  • Series 7 examination (or FINRA recognized equivalents)

  • Series 66 examination (or FINRA recognized equivalents)

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Information will be shared about expectations during the recruitment process.

  • May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long-term incentive awards.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
