About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Product Management Consultant
In this role, you will:
- Participate in low to moderate complexity data product initiatives and identify opportunities for data roadmap improvements within scope of responsibilities that drive data enablement and capabilities across platforms and utilities
- Review and analyze basic business, operational, or technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives to drive low to moderate-risk data enablement strategies, roadmaps, and deliverables
- Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex data product situations, and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in data, analytics, and integration needs of line of business partners that impact prioritization, roadmap, and architecture design
- Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and prioritization and ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance
- Manage low to moderate-complexity datasets continuously focusing on the consumers of the data and their business needs, while adhering to set data governance and standards
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of data product roadmaps with detailed specifications, requirements, and flows for data capabilities
- Gather data requirements and document data needs from a variety of sources throughout the data product life cycle
- Communicate low to moderate complexity data problems and initiatives in a digestible manner to all audiences
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Data Analyst experience (ability to analyze, profile, and identify trends or patterns in a given dataset), SQL Skills, Strong Excel skills, DQ and/or rule development (binary yes/no rules) a huge plus; Ability to write business requirements; Ability to build/write and execute testing script / procedures.
- Testing Experience, SQL Skills, Data Analyst experience, Leadership Capabilities
- Experience in data product or data management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Should have comfort with working with data across Hive, Teradata at minimum; additional experience with Mongo and Kafka is a plus
Job Expectations:
- Shortlisted candidate is expected to work hand-in-hand with Product Owner to understand the priorities in flight, strategic solution, and the requirements of use cases in motion. Resource should be empowered to make decisions and answer questions when PO is offline, creating continuity across time zones and reducing/eliminating bottlenecks.
- Data Analysts will be responsible for working within the scrum team to: Gather and record DQ requirements; write DQ rules (Acceldata); Test DQ rules (Acceldata + DiMC checks) or similar tools.
- Prepare necessary control documentation; Conduct Post-Production Validation of Rules.
- Assist in the monitoring and refinement of DQ rules published to production. Data Analysts may also support efforts in DQ Control Reporting, Rule Metrics & Rule Transparency, and similar DQ capability development.
