Markets Client Onboarding Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Markets Client Delivery Analyst to assist the APAC Sales team with the end-to-end onboarding process for clients including document collection, account opening and platform configuration.

As the Client Delivery Facilitator, you will liaise with external and internal clients and stakeholders to comply with all Operational, Compliance, Regulatory and internal policies as part of the onboarding process. This role is to provide the business with a central point of contact and liaise with On-boarding teams in other regions to provide transparency and efficiency.


The role will report directly into a Manager based in London with regional accountability to the Head of Client Delivery in Singapore.


In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to oversee the process of clients being on-boarded, set priorities and regularly update the Sales team, clients, the Negotiation team, and the operations.
  • Liaise with the Sales team, Relationship Managers, clients, or external advisors (as applicable) to ensure the accurate and timely procurement of essential agreements and documentation for seamless transition to the Operations and Negotiation teams (e.g., organizational documents, Tax forms, etc.)
  • Act as the primary liaison for the Operations team regarding all onboarding activities associated with the designated area of business: i.e.,
  • Setting priorities
  • Providing client documents
  • Questions regarding client set-ups
  • Requesting Collateral and Credit Limit set ups
  • Handling exception process (Legal, Compliance, Business, MLRO and Tax related discussions)
  • Set up trading platform and static data, ECN coordination.
  • Manage and update a client on-boarding checklist to track significant milestones.
  • Recognize bottlenecks and drive enhancements in the onboarding process and communication pathways, focusing on efficiency and scalability.
  • Assist in executing projects and initiatives aimed at implementing policy changes or process improvements.


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Business Relationship Support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in finance/business administration or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in Client Onboarding, Client Services, Sales Support, or Client Delivery within banking or financial services, preferably within Markets
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, financial instruments and the Markets transaction lifecycle across products.
  • Strong understanding of client onboarding requirements, including legal documentation, KYC/CDD/EDD, AML, tax, regulatory due diligence, ISDA documentation and account opening processes
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients, Sales teams and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced financial institution while managing competing priorities and service expectations
