About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Analyst


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in less complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
  • Adhere to data governance standards and procedures
  • Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Design and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes, or procedures to ensure data control and remediation for companywide data management functions
  • Support communications with basic documentation related to requirements, design decisions, issue closure, or remediation updates
  • Support issue remediation by performing medium risk data profiling, data or business analysis, and data mapping as part of root cause or impact analysis
  • Provide support to regulatory analysis and reporting requirements
  • Recommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sources
  • Work with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controls
  • Consult with clients to assess the current state of data quality within area of assigned responsibility


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Lifecycle Management.
  • Good understanding of Data Management policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting data governance programs, compliance activities, and data quality initiatives across business functions.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality management, metadata management, data lineage, master data management (MDM), and governance controls.
  • Experience with AI, automation, analytics, and reporting tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Platform, Python, and related technologies.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned deliverables and ensure timely, high-quality execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and supporting governance and business requirements.
  • Good project coordination and organizational skills, including tracking deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data, metrics, and insights effectively.
  • Ability to develop management-level reports, dashboards, scorecards, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, process improvement, and operational excellence.


Job Expectations:

  • Execute and support Data Management and Data Governance activities, ensuring compliance with established policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
  • Manage assigned deliverables independently, demonstrating accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and timeliness.
  • Support data quality, governance, and compliance initiatives through monitoring, issue identification, analysis, and remediation activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with business, technology, and governance stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve issues, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Leverage automation and analytical tools to improve process efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, and presentation materials to communicate governance performance, key metrics, and business insights.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, clearly articulating findings, risks, recommendations, and project status updates.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen governance controls.
  • Monitor and report key performance metrics, ensuring accurate tracking of progress, risks, issues, and compliance requirements.
  • Continuously enhance expertise in Data Management, Data Governance, AI, automation, and organizational policies, while actively contributing to team success and operational excellence.
