Analytics Consultant - Automation Intelligence & Reporting Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Consultant in the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) Operations Excellence. The following role is posted in the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) for the Operational Excellence Team.   Operations Excellence Maintenance & Enhancements (M&E) Team, a dedicated team focused on supporting, sustaining, monitoring, and optimizing our automation portfolio in production. This team will provide centralized ownership of maintenance and enhancements, production support, demand intake, operational governance, monitoring, and reporting across all Operations Excellence automations, regardless of technology or delivery team. Our Mission The M&E Team exists to ensure our automation solutions remain stable, compliant, efficient, and continue delivering value long after implementation. By centralizing operational ownership, we can improve reliability, accelerate enhancements, strengthen governance, and maximize the business value of our automation investments.


In this role, you will:

  • Consult with business line and enterprise functions on less complex research

  • Use functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision making

  • Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis and document process

  • Present recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance

  • Identify and define business requirements and translate data and business needs into research and recommendations to improve efficiency

  • Participate in all group technology efforts including design and implementation of database structures, analytics software, storage, and processing

  • Develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses to make recommendations and provide guidance to less experienced staff

  • Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area

  • Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies

  • Participate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and capital objectives and other strategic goals

  • Collaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups

  • Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage for Wells Fargo 

  • Develop, test, analyze and implement strategies to achieve the financial objective relevant to macro-economic conditions 

  • Work closely with cross functional team (Tech, Product, Risk, Operations) to drive impact on a given product, problem, or initiative 


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Management, or Operations background.

  • Experience with Power BI, reporting automation, and dashboard development.

  • Strong SQL, data analysis, and visualization skills.

  • Experience building operational reporting frameworks from the ground up.

  • Ability to translate complex operational data into executive insights.

  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive clarity in ambiguity while dealing with credit and operational problems 

  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications 

  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills based on analytics. 

  • Adept in data analysis tools and programming (R, Python, SQL, SAS) 


Job Expectations:

  • Portfolio Analytics

  • Develop and maintain enterprise automation dashboards.

  • Create reporting for automation health, utilization, incidents, availability, and operational performance.

  • Establish KPI and OKR reporting frameworks.

  • Track benefit realization and value delivery across the automation portfolio.

  • Monitoring & Governance

  • Design monitoring processes and operational scorecards.

  • Identify performance trends, risks, and emerging issues.

  • Maintain automation inventory and reporting repositories.

  • Create executive reporting packages for leadership reviews.

  • Data Visualization

  • Develop Power BI dashboards and interactive reporting solutions.

  • Create operational health metrics and automated reporting processes.

  • Support governance reviews with actionable insights and data analysis.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$77,000.00 - $121,000.00
